There is still time to register for the Syracuse University Annual Alumni Awards celebration happening this Friday, April 12. Among the honorees will be Tracy Barash ’89, chair of the Whitman Advisory Council.

Buddy Valastro, also known as “the Cake Boss,” recently visited Whitman as part of the Impact Speaker series. He shared lessons learned as a celebrity baker, television personality, restaurateur, author and entrepreneur.

Whitman is pleased to introduce the inaugural class of Barnes Scholars. Made possible by the generosity of Syracuse University Trustee Steven W. Barnes ’82, H’19 and his commitment to academic excellence, this award was granted to Whitman’s highest-achieving first-year students to recognize their excellence in the classroom. 

The Spring Senior Capstone Competition at Whitman is set for April 26. We invite alumni and friends to experience the afternoon of the competition as part of our virtual viewing and voting audience.

Syracuse University has purchased the Hotel Skyler Syracuse. The news comes following the University’s announcement that it will convert the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center into student housing beginning in fall 2024.

With the release of the 2024 ‘Cuse Football schedule, the University has set the dates for fall reunion and family weekends. Coming Back Together is set for Sept. 12-15, Family Weekend will be Sept. 27-29, and Orange Central will welcome alumni back to campus Nov. 1-3.
