Syracuse University Welcomes Assistant Muslim Chaplain

Hendricks Chapel recently welcomed Imam Dzemal Crnkić as assistant Muslim chaplain at Syracuse University. Imam Crnkić will assist Chaplain Amir Durić to further advance academic excellence in a university welcoming to all.

Yousr Dhaouadi, a chemical engineering doctoral student in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, was selected as “people’s choice” awardee at the 2023 Syracuse University Three-Minute Thesis Graduate School Competition.  Dhaouadi is an international student from Tunisia who lived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) prior to coming to Syracuse University.

Design student Rabia Razzaq G’23 spent time last year with Andrew Dingel ’22, a student who has autism, to learn about his daily routine, interests and obstacles. Razzaq and Dingel collaborated on the idea of easing anxiety through the comfort of an innovative weighted scarf.
