Mark your calendars! Commencement Rehearsal is Thursday, May 12 at 11:30 a.m.

 

Please make every effort to participate in the commencement rehearsal.

 

Calling all 2022 Commencement Participants

Commencement rehearsal will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., in the stadium.

All class of 2022 graduation candidates participating in the rehearsal should enter through the Gate D entrance of the stadium.
Upon arrival at the stadium, students will be instructed to be seated in their home school or college section before rehearsing the student processional. 

Do not wear your cap, gown, tassel or hood to the commencement rehearsal. The cap, gown, tassel and hood should only be worn at your school or college convocation and commencement ceremonies.

All graduation candidates who plan to complete their degree requirements by August 2022 and plan to participate in the May 2022 celebrations, must file a diploma request on MySlice.

Accessibility Requests

Graduation candidates who have accessibility needs for themselves or their guests during commencement should visit the accessibility information page on the commencement site for more details about disability related accommodations that are available for commencement attendees and participants.

All accessibility requests can be submitted online by completing the disability related accommodation request form at the bottom of the accessibility information page.

Caps, Gowns and Tassels

The Campus Store is the cap, gown and tassel resource center. 

All candidates who are eligible to participate in Commencement or Convocations must visit the campus store in Schine Student Center to secure a cap, gown and tassel prior to commencement weekend. This includes December 2021, May 2022 and August 2022 graduation candidates and students who petitioned their school or college to participate in commencement weekend ceremonies. 

Beginning May 2, undergraduate graduation candidates can visit the Campus Store in Schine Student Center during store hours to secure a cap, gown and tassel to participate in commencement or convocations.

Undergraduate Cap and Gown Distribution
The distribution of undergraduate caps, gowns and tassels begins at the Campus Store in Schine Student Center and continues throughout Commencement week.

Thursday, May 12, 11:30 a.m.
Commencement Rehearsal (students only).

Effective Saturday, March 26, attendees will no longer be required to demonstrate proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test prior to entry to the stadium. The current announcement about the masking policy can be found here.  Visit syracuse.edu/staysafe for the most up-to-date public health information and masking level for the stadium and campus. 

*Syracuse University adheres to New York State/Onondaga County public health guidelines and protocols that could impact admission requirements or capacities for large gatherings. The 2022 graduation candidates will be notified, via email, of any such changes as soon as they are confirmed.* 

Commencement Brunch Reservations

Still looking for a place to gather after commencement?
Make a reservation for your friends and family at Drumlins Country Club for the Commencement Brunch. 

Seating reservations options: 12:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. 

Adult meals: $33.00 per person

Children 12 and under: $17.00 per person

Free parking is available. 

Continuous shuttle service is provided for guests who plan to go to Drumlins Country Club for brunch. Pick up locations are College Place and Gate G at the stadium.

Commencement Guest Housing

If your family and friends are still looking for a place to stay during commencement weekend, overnight accommodations are available in North Campus residence halls for the families of Syracuse University’s 2022 graduation candidates.

Check-in:  Friday, May 13 at 10:00am
Check out: Sunday, May 15 at 5:00pm

Cost: $224 for 2-night package
