| Defense Comptrollership Program Celebrates 70 Years | | | Seventy-years ago, Whitman graduated the first class from its Defense Comptrollership Program (DCP), which welcomes active members and veterans of the U.S. military. Today, DCP graduates receive a dual degree with an MBA from Whitman and a master’s in public administration from the Maxwell School. | | | | | |

David Altman ’99, accountant to the stars, helps clients with everything from tax returns to buying cars and houses. Army National Guard Captain Gabriel Uy ’23 MBA/M.P.A works at the White House as deputy director of public engagement and intergovernmental affairs to the vice president. Michael Cyran, a partner at EY and dedicated friend of the Whitman School, supports accounting students’ success. Student Spotlight: Thirteen accomplished Class of 2024 Whitman Scholars moving on to roles at top banks and brands and graduate education pursuits at leading institutions. Diversity of experiences help MBA students win the $50,000 first-place prize in the Humana-Mays Healthcare Analytics Competition at Texas A&M University.
