Besides having the same name, Sajjad Albadri and Sajjad Alhashami are both from Iraq and been best friends for a long time, went to the same community college, and now are both students at Syracuse University majoring in computer science. Together, they created QPuff, a software to help manage e-cigarette addiction.

Syracuse Professor Receives Honorary Doctorate for Contributions to Turkish Linguistics

Syracuse Professor Jaklin Kornfilt received an honorary doctorate by the University of Cyprus for her contributions to theoretical and Turkish linguistics. The honorary doctorate is the highest honor conferred by the university. A native speaker of Turkish and German, Kornfilt grew up in Istanbul, and has taught linguistics in the College of Arts and Sciences since 1983.

Hamad Al Nuaimi G’12 Wins the Award of IACP 40 under 40
