Internal Funding Opportunities

NEW! Good to Great Grant (G2G) Program
This program supports faculty efforts to resubmit or prepare revised proposal submissions to the National Institutes for Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF) or other funder for proposals that previously scored favorably but were unfunded.
Deadline: Tuesday, July 15

NEW! Summer 2025 Writing and Publishing “WRAP” Funding
This internal grant opportunity is designed to support faculty in “wrapping up” their single-authored or co-authored book projects and will help offset costs associated with the final stages of publication/production, when a book will soon appear in print or on digital platforms.
Deadline: Tuesday, July 15

Team Building for Large, Collaborative Grants
These awards, intended for researchers with a track record of securing sponsored funding, aim to facilitate the development of collaborative research teams and support planning activities that enable the submission of a competitive research proposal to an external sponsor.
Deadline: Rolling

Faculty Bridge Funding Program
The purpose of this program is to allow a minimal level of activity while a proven principal investigator awaits expected federal funding, e.g., to prevent loss of key postdoctoral researchers, research faculty/staff or senior graduate students or loss of research materials in the interim period.
Deadline: Rolling

Federal Government Updates

Received a Request from a Federal Agency?
If you receive a communication from a federal agency or other entity requesting changes to your existing federal agency award, please share that communication with your Office of Sponsored Program research administrator and your associate dean for research (ADR). This includes any changes to budget, scope of work or publicly facing project information for current awards, or requests for certification or verification of compliance with laws, regulations or executive orders. For pending awards, please consult with your ADR if requests for changes go beyond the usual scope of the award process.

Tracking Federal Changes
The Office of Research and the Office of University Counsel have been working with the Office of Government and Community Relations to assess developments related to federal government grants and contracts and have created a SharePoint page that will be updated with information as we receive it. Information about executive orders and regulatory guidance, FAQs and guidance from individual agencies are available.

Office of Research Social and Postdoctoral Showcase

The Office of Research will host a social on Friday, May 30, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Milton Atrium and Patio of the Life Sciences Complex. Colleagues working on research and creative activities are invited to take a break and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and a selection of beer, wine and soft drinks.

Postdoctoral scholars are invited to showcase their research or creative activities through a poster display that attendees will be able to peruse during the social. Sign up to present.
