| | | | Syracuse University’s alumnus, Nabil Habayeb ’80, G’82 ECS, GE’s president and CEO for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, has been appointed to lead GE’s global business, the company has announced. | | | | Rani Raad ’97, an alumnus of the Newhouse School, has been named president of CNN Commercial. Raad has held a number of executive positions at CNN during his 22-year career with the company, including executive vice president and chief commercial officer for CNN International and senior vice president and managing director for CNN International Ad Sales. | | | | The MENAT Regional Council met virtually for their annual Spring meeting with Professor Alex McKelvie of the Whitman School of Management, Associate Dean for Undergraduate and Master’s Education, and Professor of Entrepreneurship. Members of the MENAT Generation Orange were invited to attend as well. Professor McKelvie discussed with the group the university’s detailed plan for in-person instruction for the Fall Semester 2020, outlining the complex safety precautions to mitigate the risks of COVID-19. | | | | Ladin came to Syracuse University from her hometown in Turkey. She was on the dean’s list since her first year. Despite of the rigor of her studies, she kept busy with several extra- curricular activities, including serving as an undergraduate representative at the Council of Diversity and Inclusion, as well as study abroad and several internships. Ladin graduated as a Magna Cum Laude with a triple major in International Relations, Political Science, and German Language, Literature & Culture.
