NEW! 2022 Blavatnik Regional Award Nomination for Postdoctoral Scientists Internal Proposal Due Date: Jan. 5, 2022 Number of Internal Nominees: 15 Funding Amount: $30,000 This award celebrates the excellence of outstanding postdoctoral scientists from institutions in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut working in life sciences, physical sciences & engineering and chemistry. Nominations are requested from postdoctoral faculty advisors. NEW! 2022 NSF Science and Technology Centers (STC): Integrative Partnerships (Letter of Intent) Internal Letter of Intent Due Date: Dec. 13 Number of Internal Nominees: 3 Funding Amount: $5 million annually The program supports exceptionally innovative, complex research and education projects that require large-scale, long-term awards. STCs focus on creating new scientific paradigms, establishing entirely new scientific disciplines and developing transformative technologies which have the potential for broad scientific or societal impact. January 2022 NSF Partnerships for Innovation (PFI)—Research Partnerships (Letter of Intent) Internal Letter of Intent Due Date: Dec. 13 Number of Internal Nominees: 1 Funding Amount: $550,000 Offers researchers funded by NSF the opportunity to perform translational research and technology development, catalyze partnerships and accelerate the transition of discoveries from the laboratory to the marketplace for societal benefit. NSF Ethical and Responsible Research (ER2) (Letter of Intent) Internal Letter of Intent Due Date: Dec. 1 Number of Internal Nominees: 1 Funding Amount: $600,000 ER2 funds research projects that identify (1) factors that are effective in the formation of ethical STEM researchers and (2) approaches to developing those factors in all STEM fields that NSF supports. NSF Innovations in Graduate Education Program (Letter of Intent) Internal Letter of Intent Due Date: Dec. 1 Number of Internal Nominees: 2 Funding Amount: $500,000 The program seeks proposals that explore ways for graduate students in research-based master’s and doctoral degree programs to develop the skills, knowledge and competencies needed to pursue a range of STEM careers.
