Insights on Asia’s Music Scene

Alumnus and music executive Jason Miller ’95 is the CEO of Eventim Live Asia. A veteran of the international entertainment industry, he is well known for promoting major concerts in Asia. He connects Bandier students with top music industry executives in Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo to gain valuable insights on Asia’s growing role on the global music front.

Many Asian students on campus, both international students and Asian Americans, have a special place in their hearts for the Asian snacks they grew up with. However, Asian snacks are not as accessible around campus. Knowing this problem all too well, Christine Wu ’22 started Phantom Tea.

From Pakistan, Rabia Razzaq’s interest in design began after several years working in the fashion industry. She is a multidisciplinary designer and graduate student in the College of Visual and Performing Arts who recently won for her proposal Tailored Relief, a wearable device for people with anxiety.

Ying Zhang has been selected as this year’s Graduate School student marshal. Leading the graduate student procession and walking the stage at the University’s 2022 Doctoral Hooding ceremony may be the culmination of her Syracuse University academic path, but that is only one of many significant journeys Ying Zhang has taken during her graduate training.
