Career Services is interested in learning all about the amazing plans our soon-to-be graduating students have in store following the academic year!

Whether you have already accepted a job, continuing your education through a graduate program, volunteering or still exploring what is next, please take a few minutes today to complete your First-Destination Survey about your post-graduation plans.

We realize that, for many graduating students, plans may still be undetermined. It is more important than usual to understand the many directions Syracuse graduates take when they earn their degrees. This survey also helps faculty and staff support students who have not yet secured plans, along with recommending Career Coaching opportunities to help you define and achieve professional success.

Graduation Wishing Well

Commencement is a BIG deal, and we’re celebrating the Class of 2023!

Whether you’re a soon-to-be grad making your Class Act gift or you’re a friend or family member of someone who’s graduating, we hope you’ll share gratitude, good wishes, great photos and more.

When you make a gift to Syracuse’s General Scholarship Fund, you change lives. What better way to mark a major milestone? Anyone who gives and leaves a wish by May 12 at 9 a.m. ET will have the chance to see it featured on the Dome’s big screens during Commencement!

Blessing of Students at Hendricks Chapel

In honor of the students at Syracuse University, and to commemorate the conclusion of the Spring Semester and celebrate the graduating Class of 2023, the chaplains and staff of Hendricks Chapel will host a “Blessing of Students” on Sunday, May 7th at 4pm EST.

The program will include musical performances, spoken reflections, and recognition of those who contributed to the Hendricks Chapel mission of “leading in service to the common good through religious, spiritual, moral, and ethical life.”

This event is free and open to all, including Syracuse University students, parents, alumni, and community members as this event will kickoff Commencement 2023 festivities. Additional event details can be found on Syracuse University Event Calendar here

Make Your Class Act Gift

Visit Class Act 2023 to make your Class Act gift of $20.23 today and you’ll get an exclusive cord to wear at Commencement! 

Your Class Act gift helps to support future students and gifts of $20.23 make a big difference. To show our gratitude, we want to recognize YOU with a special cord to wear at Commencement. Class Act donors may pick up their cords 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday until May 12, during cap & gown pick-up at the Campus Store.

The distribution of undergraduate caps, gowns and tassels begins at the Campus Store in Schine Student Center and continues throughout Commencement weekend.

Commencement Weekend Ceremonies
The full schedule of school and college convocations, ceremonies and receptions is available on the Commencement site. Tickets are not required.

All school and college convocations and Commencement will also be livestreamed. Visit commmencement.syracuse.edu during May 11 – May 14, 2022 to view these ceremonies online.

Commencement Brunch Reservations

Looking for a place to gather after commencement? The Sheraton and Drumlins Country Club are offering a Mother’s Day and Commencement Brunch on Sunday, May 14, 2023 with seatings from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Reservations are required.

Commencement Guest Housing

If your family and friends are still looking for a place to stay during commencement weekend, overnight accommodations are available in North Campus residence halls for the families of Syracuse University’s 2022 graduation candidates.

Check-in:  Friday, May 12 at 10:00am
Check out: Sunday, May 14 at 5:00pm

Cost: $224 for 2-night package
