Fadi Bahouth ’78 Helps Others Achieve Their Dreams

A chemical engineering degree opened many doors for Fadi Bahouth ’78 and he is grateful for the faculty, university staff and fellow students who helped him complete his degree after arriving in Syracuse as a refugee from the Lebanese civil war.  Now Bahouth and his wife Debra want others to have the opportunity he had through The Cedars Scholarship.

Nasser Paydar ’79, G’81, G’85 Pathway as a Higher Education Leader

When Syracuse alumnus Nasser Paydar was about to graduate from high school in Iran, his father, Hossein, made sure to set his son up for success. Hossein sent his son to Syracuse to study mechanical engineering. Over nearly five decades, Paydar has carved out a successful higher education career.

The Office of International Undergraduate Admissions together with the MENAT Student Ambassadors hosted the MENAT Student Welcome Reception on campus in August, a day before the Fall 2022 semester started. Current students from the region welcomed the incoming freshmen and their parents.

Abdallah H. Yabroudi Endowed Professor in Sustainable Civil Infrastructure Appoints Min Liu

The College of Engineering and Computer Science is proud to introduce Min Liu as the Abdallah H. Yabroudi Endowed Professor in Sustainable Civil Infrastructure at Syracuse University. Liu’s research centers on developing innovative approaches and generating knowledge on how to integrate the human and engineering aspects of construction planning to improve productivity and project performance.

GSO President Yousr Dhaouadi Follows Every Opportunity on Campus

Yousr Dhaouadi is an international student from Tunisia who lived in the United Arab Emirates prior to coming to Syracuse University. She’s currently finishing a second term as president of the Graduate Student Organization (GSO), previously having served as GSO comptroller and financial secretary. Dhaouadi is also in her second term as the graduate student representative to the University’s Board of Trustees.
