Maxwell Celebrates Alumni Global Impact

Syracuse University Maxwell School celebrates exceptional alumni at the Annual Awards of Excellence. These alumni have used their talents, positions, power and influence to positively impact the lives of millions around the globe.

Associate Professor Lawrence Chua will advance his research and writing with fellowships at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at Kyoto University in Japan, Center for Khmer Studies in Cambodia and Freiburg Institute of Advanced Studies in Germany. 

Ten Syracuse University students and alumni will teach around the world through Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Meet the 2023 recipients of this important award.

Syracuse Music History Assistant Professor Ruth Opara will travel to Nsukka where she will collaborate with the University of Nigeria to establish an educational exchange program. 

When Niño Raymond Alvina of the Philippines learned he would be spending his Hubert H. Humphrey fellowship year at Syracuse University, he was delighted. Alvina is the fourth Humphrey Fellow from the Philippines to study at the Maxwell School.

Syracuse Abroad has announced a new study abroad program in Santiago. While in Chile, students can take advantage of a variety of courses offered in English at two top-rated Chilean universities: Universidad Catolica and Universidad Diego Portales.
