A Syracuse Evening in Riyadh

Mohammed Albunyan ’14 hosted a Syracuse University alumni reunion in Riyadh in the month of Ramadan. Admitted students from the country and their parents were invited to get acquainted and learn more about life at Syracuse University from alumni. View our photo gallery to see event highlights.

Professor Younes Ra’di is appointed as a senior member and associate editor of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for his contributions to research in applied electromagnetics and microwave engineering.

Ghonche Khalaj ’25 Ph.D., a student from Iran, studied at Tafresh University and Tarbiat Modares University before coming to Syracuse. For Khalaj, studying at Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management means equal opportunities for her as a woman in business.

Yasmin Nayrouz is a senior majoring in public relations at the Newhouse School and English at the College of Arts and Sciences, with a minor in global security studies at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. She’s working toward a career in advocacy for refugees, immigrants and displaced families.
