ECS Ph.D. Students from Iran and Lebanon Win Research Awards on The Future of Flying

Civil and environmental engineering Ph.D. students Parisa Sanaei and Michael Ammoury were selected for graduate research awards from Transportation Research Board’s Airport Cooperative Research Program. The ACRP awards support research to improve the quality, reliability, safety and security of the United States airport industry.

Nidaa Aljabbarin’ 22 left Syria in 2013 for Jordan before emigrating to the United States in 2016 with her parents and eight siblings. She wanted to share her story through poetry so that the world can hear and give them an idea of what being a refugee means. Get to know more about Nidaa and her poetry here.
