It is always a special feeling to see and hear the energy grow in the building as students enter Whitman for the first time or re-acquaint themselves after having been away over the summer. And there is reason to be especially excited and proud this fall.

The search for a new Whitman dean is underway. Vice Chancellor, Provost and Chief Academic Officer Gretchen Ritter recently announced the members of the committee who will lead efforts to bring the next dean to Whitman.
